Learn how to needle felt your own succulent! With its large, red-rimmed leaves, Flapjack Kalanchoe, (or Kalanchoe thyrsiflora) also known as paddle plant, desert cabbage and dog tongue, is a colorful succulent and it has a modern sculptural form that lends itself well to needle felting. All supplies included - a simple glass container, sand and rocks will be supplied along with needle felting materials, and you can keep 1 felting needle and a piece of foam. A variety of greens, purples, reds and pink roving will be available so you can create your unique everlasting plant. Take this great class and you will have an immortal succulent to decorate your space.

This class will take place at Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester NY 14607. 

About the teacher:
Nancy Topolski has been making art and teaching for over 30 years. She has forever enjoyed needle crafts. At an early age, her grandmother taught her embroidery and she learned knitting from her mother. And then in college Nancy to learned to spin yarn and that soon led to her love of needle felting. Nancy lives in Brighton with her family and her house is filled with yarn, roving and embroidery thread.
