Interested in learning how to toss pizza dough in the air? Being able to toss dough in the air may sound intimidating, but after class students will have the confidence to do it! In this class, students will learn the history of pizza, various types of pizza, as well as the essential home pizza making tools. Students will learn dough stretching techniques, fermentation processes, and how to properly top and bake a pizza. Using the kit provided, everyone will make two pizzas to enjoy at the end of class.
Vegetarian pizza kits will include:
- sliced garlic in oil
- fresh mozzarella
- shredded mozzarella
- parmigiano reggiano
Meat pizza kits will include:
- organic tomato sauce
- shredded mozzarella
- homemade mozzarella
- grated parmigiano reggiano
- Mike's Hot Honey Dip Cup
Other Supplies Needed:
- measuring cups
- baking sheet/flat round pizza pan/baking steel/baking stone/cast iron pan (any of these will work)
- pizza peel (optional)
- countertop mixer with a hook attachment (optional)
- pizza cutter or french knife
- cutting board
- conventional oven that can reach up to 500-550 degrees
Please note: Pizza kits can be picked up from Three Heads Brewing located at 186 Atlantic Ave, Rochester, NY 14607 on March 13th from 12:00pm-2:00pm. Purchase a ticket to this class on it's own or as part of Peels On Wheels three-class package including Pizza Dough Basics on March 7th and Learn How To Make Pan Pizza on March 21st. The recommended age for this class is 16+.

About the teacher:
Luis Perez has worked in multiple facets of the restaurant industry in the last 14 years, and 10 out of his 14 years were spent working in the pizza industry. Luis found himself missing the pizza industry after a three year break and started his own pizza business called Peels On Wheels. Peels on Wheels is a fully mobile concept where Neapolitan style pizzas are stretched, topped and baked in under 5 minutes directly in front of customers. Luis is well versed in many different styles of pizza and loves sharing his pizza knowledge with others.
