The crown is heavy, darlings, but in addition to queens, there are ladies, witches, martyrs, whores, and housewives in Renaissance England who led amazing and rich lives. Hear some of their stories, see their portraits, and learn how to find out more about these stereotype-busting women in this illustrated lecture and discussion.

This class is appropriate for ages 18+.

This class will take place at Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester, NY 14607.

About the teacher:
Catherine Loomis is a Shakespeare scholar who writes about early modern women and Queen Elizabeth I. She is the author of The Death of Elizabeth I and a biography of William Shakespeare.
