Learn the basics of knitting and set yourself up to become a knitting pro! Students will learn the knit, purl, and rib stitches in this quick beginner sampler. With these skills, you can take on almost any project! Yarn and needles will be provided and you'll be able to take them home so you can practice your knitting.

Age:
This class is appropriate for ages 14+.

Location:
This class will take place at Figgy Studio & Shop, located at 251 Park Ave, Rochester NY 14607.

Accessibility:
If you would like to request a sign language interpreter or will be attending class with an aide, please fill out our contact form. Please also let us know if you have any preferences (seating, vision access, etc). Classes will take place on the 2nd floor of Figgy Studio & Shop which is only accessible by stairs.

About the teacher:
Kayla Carpitella has been obsessed with making things since she was a kid. Her strange and exciting freelance career includes knitting jobs for the knitwear designer DEGEN, Joe Fresh, Adult Swim, and Heluva Good Cheese, and ceramic production for Love Adorned in NYC. She has taught machine knitting, crochet, and macrame at the Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn, and is excited about teaching in her hometown.
