Rochester, New York has a rich history in photography, but not everyone knows what to do with photographs in their home. In this class we will provide helpful tips for long term care of your photographs. Class will include: • Basic handling guidelines• Identification tips• Storage• Resources for scanning photographs• Tips on sharing photos with your family and friends• When to see a conservator or specialistLocation:This class will take place at Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester NY 14607.About the teacher:Erin Fisher is a local Researcher and Photographer. When she is not taking photos, you can find her managing at Living Roots Wine and Co. She graduated with her MFA from the Photo Preservation and Collections Management program at the University of Rochester/ George Eastman Museum. She is currently pursuing her education focus towards Photography Conservation after having an amazing experience interning for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the Photography Conservation Department.
