Thursday, December 2nd | 6:30pm-8:30pm | Fruit and Forage Fresh Holiday Wreath

Join us for a fun, hands-on design class inspired by the beautiful, natural elements of this area and modern wreath-making design. In this wreath class, students will make and take home their very own handmade wreath, created with natural ingredients such as (but not limited too) a grapevine wreath base, pinecones of all sizes, larch branches, slices of dried fruit, cinnamon sticks, curly willow, lunaria, rose hips, red twig dogwood, grasses and fresh pine. Learn the tips and tricks to wreath-making and create your own lush winter wreath with an organic, earthy feel. Yes, you will be making Martha proud.

Please note: With proper care, these wreaths can last through March looking the same as when it was made in December. Students will receive care instructions at class. Wreath-making can be a sticky and sometimes messy ordeal! We highly recommend bringing work gloves (found at Lowes, Home Depot, or Harbor Freight) for handling the pine. Additionally, we recommend bringing latex or poly gardening/ work gloves for designing your wreath (thinner gloves makes for easier hand-crafting). Gloves will prevent the pine from scratching your skin and they will soak up the sap. We also recommend either bringing something to protect your clothing from the sap or a change of clothing if you are coming from work.

This class is appropriate for ages 14+.

This class will take place indoors at Rochester Brainery located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester, NY 14607.

Live subtitles will be available upon request during this class. If you prefer a sign language interpreter, please fill out our contact form. Please also let us know if you have any preferences (seating, vision access, etc).
