Take a trip to your favorite farm market and bring home a delicious basket of apples! Harvest season makes for the most enjoyable time to bake wonderful treats. In this class, we will learn to bake apple scones with three different toppings, for a total of nine scones.
Please note: Preheat oven to 425 degrees just before class.
- 4 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 sticks chilled butter
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 medium sized Apple
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- caramel sauce or caramel candies(6 to 8)
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Rubber spatula
- 2 Medium mixing bowls
- Forks and a knife
- Baking sheet
This class is appropriate for ages 14+

About the teacher:
Bobbie Gluck's love for baking was inspired originally by a Greek bakeshop in her hometown of Plattsburgh. She traveled Europe as a young woman, studying in Salamanca, Spain, exploring the flavors of bakeries in Spain, France, Italy, and more. She baked professionally for twenty five years in a small town bakery. Bobbie now enjoys raising her children, flower farming, baking for pleasure for family and friends, and spending time in creative pursuits at her farmhouse on the westside of Rochester.
