Introduction to Fusing and Slumping: Party Bowl

Monday, September 27th | 5:30pm-7:30pm | Introduction to Fusing and Slumping: Party Bowl


Beginner-level students will learn to design a unique bowl with color combinations, then safely score glass and assemble for kiln firing. A second kiln firing produces the shape. No prior glass experience required!    

Please note: Masks are required for both vaccinated and unvaccinated students at Studio 34. Please wear closed-toed shoes. Please bring safety glasses or be prepared to purchase a pair from the studio ($5). All tools provided. Projects will be kiln fired and available for pick up 10 days after class.


This class is appropriate for ages 14+.

This class will take place indoors at Studio 34 Creative Arts Learning Center, located at 34 Elton St, Rochester, NY 14607. The studio is located on the second floor of the largest of the three brick buildings on Elton St. Please use the entrance on the right side of the building. Additional parking is located at the corner of Atlantic and Elton.

About the teacher:
Michele Ramsey is a recently retired school teacher and now shares her professional teaching experience as a glass instructor at Studio 34 Creative Arts Center. Michele has studied with world class glass artists to develop her body of work.
