Thursday, April 9th | 7:00pm-8:00pm | Think Like A Journalist: How To Write And Pitch Your Press Release

$15.00

If you submit press releases to media outlets and rarely have your stories or events covered, you’re not alone. The media landscape is changing: there are fewer reporters, and they have more news to cover in less time. As a PR professional, you have to adapt your techniques to get their attention. You have to think like a journalist. In this class, you’ll learn how to write an effective press release and target your pitches for specific media. You’ll also explore how social media and video can help generate public interest in your stories and lead to media coverage. This is a hands-on workshop that will include group discussions and brainstorming. Feel free to send your own press releases in advance to Megan for review by emailing her at mack.megan01@gmail.com.
