Thursday, December 9th | 6:30pm-8:00pm | What is Mindfulness, Anyway?

The term "mindfulness" seems to be everywhere lately, whether it's in the news, schools or the workplace. Not really sure what it's all about? Thinking it's maybe not your thing? This 90-minute workshop will provide insight, understanding and practice that will be a useful tool for every facet of your life. Being mindful is a way of finding balance in our lives without judgement - expect a casual, supportive and welcoming class environment.

The recommended age for this class is 18+.

This class will take place at Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester, NY 14607.

About the teacher:
Laura Gavigan, Owner/Teacher of MindfulMatters585, is a trained and certified mindful meditation instructor and has led introductory and advanced mindfulness classes at a variety of organizations in the Rochester community and beyond. Laura became interested in mindfulness to manage her own stress, anxiety, and burnout. Mindful meditation practice has helped to compassionately care for herself and ultimately thrive (rather than survive) personally and professionally. Laura and the Mindful Matters team (Felicia Reed-Watt and Kaitlin Legg) believe mindfulness allows us to be more aware and receptive to what's happening in our lives.
