7.19 Preparing for Summer Shakespeare - Bard Brush-Up

Monday, July 19th | 7:00pm-8:15pm | Preparing for Summer Shakespeare: Bard Brush-Up

Live theater returns to Upstate New York with several free outdoor Shakespeare performances this summer. But to go… or not to go? We’ll brush up on all things “Bard” – all that oft’ confusing language, yea, all those belaborèd plotlines! – so you feel better equipped to enjoy and appreciate Shakespeare’s skilled storycraft under the stars this summer.

This class is appropriate for all ages.

This class will take place online through Zoom. Links for Zoom classes will be sent 1 hour before the start of class. If you do not receive your link, please check your spam or submit an email through our contact page.

Live subtitles will be available upon request during this class. If you prefer a sign language interpreter, please fill out our contact form. Please also let us know if you have any preferences (seating, vision access, etc).

About the teacher:
Tyler Lucero has performed in several local Shakespeare productions, including Wallbyrd Theatre Company’s Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, and The Taming of the Shrew, and Screen Plays’ Hamlet. He hopes to see each of the Bard’s thirty-eight plays performed live over his lifetime, aided by annual trips to the Stratford Festival in Ontario, to Buffalo’s Shakespeare in Delaware Park, and to the Rochester Community Players’ Highland Bowl shows.
