Discover the organic process of transferring lush floral and foliage designs to fabric, with a bonus lesson on fabric treatment and preparation! This workshop will demonstrate the technique of flower stamping to achieve a naturally dyed print on three fabric samples (cotton, linen, and silk). Students will be immersed in pattern-making with fresh leaves, locally sourced petals and wildflowers. After class, take home the unique framed textile and fabric samples.
Please note: You will leave with a unique framed silk textile. It is suggested to wear old clothing. Participants will be hammering with a mallet. Ear protection is recommended for those with noise sensitivities.

35 Flatt Rd, Rochester, NY 14623.

About the teacher:Courtney Craig is a surface designer who enjoys the studio environment and creating custom textiles for interior spaces. Elements of vintage, contemporary, and traditional design are her favorites to explore. Courtney is currently living in Rochester and being inspired every day from the local artisan community.
