About the teacher:
Jocelyn Bushart is mom, wife, and nurse practitioner by day. She created Sustainable Knots Co. not only as an outlet for herself - but an outlet for you, too! Crafting is like meditation; it can reduce stress, help with anxiety and depression, build self-esteem, serve as an expression of mindfulness, and allow for infinite creativity. Sustainable Knots Co. was developed with a focus on sustainability. All of the fibers used are from Ganxxet's "Zero Waste No Landfill Project" line, made from dead stock and recycled cotton fabrics from the industry. To get their gorgeous colors, instead of dying their fiber, they choose similar colored garments, break down the fiber, then spin it to create cotton thread. This manufacturing process reduces water usage by 50% and significantly reduces CO2 emissions. Check out Jocelyn's work on Etsy, or on Instagram at @SustainableKnotsCo.
