What’s more therapeutic than playing in soil, soaking up the sun, and smelling the scents of spring? Hanging out with mom (or your favorite person, of course)! Spend some time together learning how to pick out the right flowers to suit a specific location, then planting a 14” wire basket or pot. Students will leave class with a basket or pot, as well as tips and tricks of the trade to keep their flowers happy, healthy, and flowering.Please note: Please select in the dropdown menu if you would like to make a hanging basket or pot. Please also select the type of sunlight you have. (Full sun is more than 6 hours of direct sun, part sun is 4-6 hours of sun, and shade is less than 4 hours of sun.) Students will leave their basket or pot at Jamie's Greenhouse for a few weeks so their plants can grow. Pickup will be Thursday, May 18 from 6 - 7 p.m. OR Saturday, May 20 from 9 - 10 a.m. at Jamie's Greenhouse. Although not required, consider bringing lightweight gardening gloves to enhance your class experience.Age:This class is appropriate for ages 18+.Location: This class will take place at Creative Gardens, located at 1965 Watson Hulbert Rd, Macedon, NY 14450. Her love of plants and the outdoors helped her decide to enroll in college in horticulture, and completed a degree in landscape design from SUNY Morrisville. She worked in the garden center industry for 18 years where she had her hands in everything but also got to be creative designing containers for clients for every season.
