Join us for a three hour hands on glass art workshop! Learn to score and shape glass, the kinds of glass used, and what goes on the in kiln when the glass goes in. You will create two projects including a 10 inch round bowl. No prior experience is required. For students with glass fusing experience, learning to cut circles in this class will ramp up your skills!

Please note: All glass and tools are provided and no prior experience is required. Please bring safety glasses or be prepared to purchase a pair from the studio ($5). Please wear closed toe shoes. This class is for students 14+ years or older.

This class will take place at Studio 34 Creative Arts Learning Center, located at 34 Elton St, Rochester, NY 14607.  The studio is located on the second floor of the largest of the three brick buildings on Elton St. Please use the entrance on the right side of the building under the awning labeled #34. Additional parking is located at the corner of Atlantic and Elton.

About the teacher:
Marilynne Lipshutz is the executive director of Studio 34 Creative Arts Center, located in Rochester's Neighborhood of the Arts for more than 16 years. Marilynne retired as a psychotherapist and took up glass blowing, glass fusing, and casting as a hobby which grew into a successful teaching studio, now home to 28 local faculty and visiting artists from around the globe.
