Have you watched Whose Line Is It Anyway? and thought, “I can do that!” If you’ve ever wanted to try comedy improv, this class is for you. This workshop covers the fundamentals of improvisation, including agreement (saying “yes, and”), teamwork, and character work. You will play theatre games and perform short scenes, making everything up on the spot. You’ll learn how to get out of your head, trust your instincts, and explore your comedic voice. This workshop has a specific emphasis on practicing how to stay in the moment in scenes by listening and reacting to your partner. Not only is improv fun, but it is also a tool for life: it can make you a better listener, public speaker, and creative thinker.
Please note: This class is open to all levels of experience. Ages 18+.
This class will take place at Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester NY 14607.
