Inspired by the beautiful natural elements of this area and modern wreath making design, join us for a fun, hands-on design class! In this class you'll learn tips and tricks to making your very own handmade wreath with oodles of natural ingredients such as: a grapevine wreath base, pinecones, larch branches, dried fruit slices, cinnamon sticks, Curly Willow, Lunaria, Rose Hips, Red Twig Dogwood, grasses, and fresh pine. And yes, you will be making Martha proud.
Please note: In the class you'll be using fresh, local pine. With proper care, your wreath can last through March looking the same as when it was made in November. You'll receive care instructions at each class. Wreath-making can be a sticky and sometimes messy ordeal! We highly recommend bringing work gloves (found at Lowes, Home Depot, or Harbor Freight) for handling the pine. Additionally, we recommend bringing latex or poly gardening/ work gloves for designing your wreath (thinner gloves makes for easier hand-crafting!). Gloves will prevent the pine from scratching your skin and they will soak up the sap. We also recommend either bringing something to protect your clothing from the sap or a change of clothing if you are coming from work.
This class will take place at Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester NY 14607.
