Bring your creativity, imaginations, your talents and practical application as we collectively build a world without oppression. We will process what freedom, justice, and social change really looks like through interactive activities and open dialogue. Then, we will explore what tools for positive change you already possess and how they might be leveraged.
This class is appropriate for ages 17+.

About the teacher:
Dr. Taj Smith is an educator, consultant, curriculum developer and facilitator specializing in diversity and inclusion, social justice education, intergroup dialogue, curriculum design, and program assessment.
When he is not consulting, he works full-time at RIT as the Director of Diversity Education. Taj recently moved to Rochester from Cincinnati, Ohio, where he served as Xavier University’s Director of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion and an adjunct teaching Introduction to Gender & Diversity Studies.
Taj earned his doctorate in Social Justice Education from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, a masters in Africana Studies from Cornell University, and a bachelors in Journalism and Mass Media Studies from Rutgers University.
For fun, Taj enjoys fashion, trying out new restaurants, online shopping, sports and watching The Walking Dead.
