This advanced class is for jewelry designers who want to get better at soldering metals. This combination lecture, demo and hands-on workshop also includes information about repairing metal jewelry.
Please note: The prerequisite for this class is Intermediate Metalsmith Techniques: Soldering or similar experience shaping metal and soldering. If you have any questions about qualifications, please contact Studio 34. Please bring a pair of safety glasses or purchase from the instructor ($5). Please wear closed toe shoes.

:This class will take place indoors at Studio 34 Creative Arts Learning Center, located at 34 Elton St, Rochester, NY 14607. The studio is located on the second floor of the largest of the three brick buildings on Elton St. Please use the entrance on the right side of the building. Additional parking is located at the corner of Atlantic and Elton.

:Maya Postell is a senior metalsmith faculty member and full time metalsmith. She has been teaching classes at Studio 34 for 5 years. Maya's body of work is botanical-themed, one of a kind, handmade jewelry crafted in silver and gold. Each piece is fabricated one by one from precious metals and castings of real plants.
Madison Schoenfeld is a full time professional jewelry designer. Her business is Madison Sophia Jewelry and her studio may be found at 34 Elton Street in the Neighborhood of the Arts. Madison has a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from RIT School of American Craftsman and is pursuing her Masters in Business Administration. Maddy has been teaching jewelry design and techniques and is on the faculty of Studio 34 Creative Arts Center.
