This is not a typical art critique or creative workshop-- this is an innovative space where artists can brainstorm, gain feedback, and build a new community of artistic collaborators to grow with and build their creative following. Bring your completed visual artwork or 'works in progress' either in hard copy or digital format to share and unpack with the group and receive constructive feedback from both experts in the field and art fanatics. The workshop will be run by the staff at Floated Magazine and a surprise guest speaker from Rochester's creative scene who will share their personal insights and tips on improving as an artist. Bring your artwork, an open mind, and get ready to share and grow with artists in the community!
Please note: General Admission tickets are $15. Students are able to purchase tickets for $12, but must present their valid Student ID at check-in.
This class will take place at University Gallery at RIT, located at 166 Lomb Memorial Dr, Rochester, NY 14623.
Parking Info: After 5pm, all general, reserved, and visitor parking spots are open to the public in Lot E and Lot F. Park and walk through the breezeway to the right of the large orange MAGIC building, taking the doors to the right into Booth Hall. University Gallery is at the end of the hallway.
