Rochester, New York has a rich history in photography, but not everyone knows what to do with photographs in their home. In this class, we will provide helpful tips for long term care of your photographs.
The class will include:
- Basic handling guidelines
- Photography identification tips
- Storage recommendations for photographs
- Resources for scanning photographs
- Tips on sharing photos with your family and friends
- When to see a conservator or specialist
This class is appropriate for ages 12+.

About the teacher:
Erin Fisher is a local Researcher and Photographer and she is currently the Collections Manager of the Photography Technology Collection at the George Eastman Museum. She graduated with her MFA from the Photo Preservation and Collections Management program at the University of Rochester/ George Eastman Museum. She is currently pursuing her education focus towards Photography Conservation after having an amazing experience interning for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the Photography Conservation Department.
