Do you know the difference between appreciating and appropriating culture? If not, come learn about the fine line between these two ways of engaging and using other people's culture. In this class, students will be discussing whether cultural appropriation is taking place in selected episodes from the Ugly Delicious series.

Please note: Students will need to have access to Netflix and will need to watch one of two episodes from the Ugly Delicious series before class. Episodes to choose from are episode #6: Fried Chicken and episode #7: Fried Rice. Please bring your questions to class so we can discuss whether cultural appropriation is taking place.
