Keep it clean! In this class, you will learn about the history of soap, from how it has changed over centuries to modern soap making methods. Then try your hand, beginning with a plain soap base you will add luscious ingredients such as herbs, scent, and color to make your own batch of custom crafted soap bars.

Age:
This class is appropriate for ages 14+.

Location:
This class will take place indoors at Rochester Brainery located at 176 Anderson Ave. F109, Rochester, NY 14607.

About the teacher:
Beth Byrne is an experienced, certified soap maker and teacher who enjoys sharing what she knows. She began as a gardener, then herbalist and finally, an avid bath and body maker. Currently, Beth serves as the Managing Editor of Making Soap, Cosmetics & Candles Magazine and is the past secretary of the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild’s Board of Directors. She resides in the Rochester area with her husband and two dogs.
