Thursday, June 2nd | 5:30pm-8:00pm | Faux Calligraphy: Techniques and Crafts

Love the look of calligraphy, but looking for an easier way? Skip the brush pens with faux calligraphy, which achieves the look of traditional brush calligraphy but with the thicker lines drawn in manually. In this class, students will learn the ins and outs of the technique.

Please note: A Happy Half Hour will take place from 5:30pm-6:00pm, and the class will begin at 6:00pm. Students will be welcome to a complimentary happy hour or non-alcoholic drink of choice. The cost of this class includes a Faux Calligraphy kit.

The recommended age for this class is 14+.

This class will take place indoors at Salena's Mexican Restaurant, located at 302 N Goodman St, Rochester, NY 14607.

Live subtitles will be available upon request during this class. If you would like to request a sign language interpreter, or will be attending class with an aide please fill out our contact form. Please also let us know if you have any preferences (seating, vision access, etc).

About the teacher:
Anna Vos is a modern calligrapher who has always loved the aesthetics of words. She is mostly self-taught and has completed Liss Smith’s freestyle calligraphy course. Anna lives in the Highland Park neighborhood with her husband Elliot and their two children, Ruby and Rory. She enjoys pretty words, making music, feeding people, and nerdy literature and television. You can find her shop, Anna Parade, on Etsy for custom lettered pieces and other nerdy artwork. She also teaches “Make Your Own Pierogi” at the Rochester Brainery.
