Bring your friends for a fun evening filled with the smell of fresh pine! In this class you'll make a fresh holiday wreath with all local ingredients including: pine, cedar, grapevine miniature crab apples, pine cones, and rose hips. There will be a variety of the prettiest ribbons to choose from and you'll walk away with a great piece of holiday decor (yes, your wreath should last through the holidays!).
Please note: In the class you'll be using fresh, local pine. With proper care, your wreath can last through March looking the same as when it was made in December. You'll receive care instructions at each class. Wreath-making can be a sticky and sometimes messy ordeal! We highly recommend bringing work gloves (found at Lowes, Home Depot, or Harbor Freight) for handling the pine. Additionally, we recommend bringing latex or poly gardening/ work gloves for designing your wreath (thinner gloves makes for easier hand-crafting!). Gloves will prevent the pine from scratching your skin and they will soak up the sap. We also recommend either bringing something to protect your clothing from the sap or a change of clothing if you are coming from work.
This class will take place at Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester NY 14607.
