Tuesday, December 8th | 6:00pm-8:00pm | Fruit and Forage Fresh Holiday Wreath with Flowerwell

Inspired by the beautiful natural elements of this area and modern wreath-making design, join us for a fun, hands-on design class! In this wreath class, students will make and their very own handmade wreath, created with oodles of natural ingredients such as (but not limited too) a grapevine wreath base, pinecones of all sizes, larch branches, slices of dried fruit, cinnamon sticks, curly willow, lunaria, rose hips, red twig dogwood, grasses, and lots of fresh pine. Students will learn the tips and tricks to wreath making and will be provided with inspiration to help them create a lush winter wreath with an organic, earthy feel. And yes, you will be making Martha proud.

Supplies needed in addition to class kit:
- sharp scissors, flower snips, or shears (for cutting pine)
- hot glue gun

Please note:

Students will need to pick-up their supply kit from Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester, NY 14607 on Saturday, December 5th from 10:30am-5pm. In the class students will be using fresh, local pine. With proper care, these wreaths can last through March looking the same as when it was made in December. Students will receive care instructions at class. Wreath-making can be a sticky and sometimes messy ordeal! We highly recommend bringing work gloves (found at Lowes, Home Depot, or Harbor Freight) for handling the pine. Additionally, we recommend bringing latex or poly gardening/work gloves for designing your wreath (thinner gloves makes for easier hand-crafting!). Gloves will prevent the pine from scratching your skin and they will soak up the sap. We also recommend wearing something to protect your clothing.

This class is appropriate for ages 10+.

This class will take place online through Zoom. Links to Zoom classes will be sent out 1 hour prior to the start of class. If you do not receive your link, please check your spam or submit an email through our contact page.
