Thursday, May 7th | 6:30pm-8:00pm | History Happy Hour: Fox Sisters

In 1848, three young girls—known as the Fox Sisters—began communicating with spirits in their Hydesville, NY, home through rapping and knocking sounds. The Spiritualist movement was born as news of their powers spread and the sisters offered séances and opportunities for people to communicate with the dead. Years later the sisters admitted to trickery, yet Spiritualism continued to grow and thrive and is still practiced today. Join in an exploration of this fascinating history of the supernatural and the belief in existence after death.
