Light up your date night with this hot workshop at Studio 34 Creative Arts Learning Center! In this workshop, taught by a professional metalsmith, students can make their own rings or each other's rings using basic metalsmith techniques. Learn to saw, size, file, texture, stamp and patina your own sterling silver band ring! Tickets are priced per couple.Please note: Closed toe shoes must be worn. Tickets are priced per couple. Maximum number of students is 2 couples. No wire or metals experience required. Tools and silver are provided. Soldering is demonstrated but not taught in this class. All projects are made and taught from scratch. Please bring safety glasses; if needed they are available for purchase from the studio for $5. This class is not for those interested in making wedding bands.Age:This class is appropriate for ages 18+.Location:This class will take place indoors at Studio 34 Creative Arts Learning Center, located at 34 Elton St, Rochester, NY 14607. The studio is located on the second floor of the largest of the three brick buildings on Elton St. Please use the entrance on the right side. She has been teaching classes at Studio 34 for 5 years. Maya's body of work is botanical-themed, one of a kind, handmade jewelry crafted in silver and gold. Each piece is fabricated one by one from precious metals and castings of real plants.Marilynne Lipshutz is the executive director of Studio 34 Creative Arts Center, located in Rochester's Neighborhood of the Arts for more than 20 years. Marilynne retired as a psychotherapist and took up glass blowing, glass fusing, and casting as a hobby which grew into a successful teaching studio, now home to 28 local faculty and visiting artists from around the globe. Studio 34 is known for small class sizes to maximize student learning experience.
