This class is an opportunity to explore the wonderful world of flamework glass. Using techniques developed more than 2000 years ago, contemporary glass artists create marbles, sculptures, and beads in a state of the art modern glass art studio. Students will learn to work safely in a hot glass studio, watch a demonstration, then practice melting and shaping glass with guidance from our professional faculty. Please note: No experience necessary. Please plan to arrive on time as latecomers may miss safety instructions. Glass pieces are kiln annealed for long life and may be picked the week following class. This class is for students 18+ years or older.
