Participants will create and take their own custom adult-sized fitness hula hoop and learn tricks and tips for using an adult-sized hoop for fitness! A certified Hoop Love Coach will help students explore a variety of hoop sizes to determine the best size for each individual. If you think you can't hoop - you probably don't have the best size for you! Once participants find their perfect fit, they will complete the quick assembly process and decorate their hoop with fun tape for shine and grip. Participants will then use their new hoop in an estimated 45 minute hoop fitness class, where they will learn techniques and tips for using a hoop for cardio and core training. Emphasis on body positivity and the joy in movement - all experience levels (especially beginners!) are encouraged!

This class will take place at University Gallery at RIT, located at 166 Lomb Memorial Dr, Rochester, NY 14623. Parking Info: After 5pm, all general, reserved, and visitor parking spots are open to the public in Lot E and Lot F. Park and walk through the breezeway to the right of the large orange MAGIC building, taking the doors to the right into Booth Hall. University Gallery is at the end of the hallway.

About the teacher:
Michelle Testa is a certified Hoop Love Coach and Hoop Dance Fitness instructor located in Rochester, NY. She focuses on body-positive, fun fitness classes and workshops for ages 13+. Michelle's hooping journey started in 2012 and has evolved as she learned to practice fitness as a celebration of what a body is capable of, and not a punishment for what a body is not. Now, she loves sharing the joy and freedom of hooping for fitness, coordination, learning, and fun!
