This class is an informal 101 introduction to deaf culture and basic American Sign Language skills. You will learn how to greet a deaf person in ASL, make proper eye contact and expressions, introduce yourselves, and learn about deaf culture and history. All questions will be gladly accepted in this class!

Please note: The ticket price does include one happy hour glass of wine for those 21+. Anyone under the age of 21 can enjoy a non-alcoholic beverage. This happy hour will happen from 6:00pm-6:30pm, and class itself will run from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Location:
This class will take place at Living Roots Wine & Co., located at 1255 University Ave, Rochester NY 14607.

About the teacher:
Jackie Pransky is a proud resident of Rochester for 11 years. She is an alumni of Rochester Institute of Technology college with a Bachelor degree in Psychology. She is born deaf and enjoys playing indoor soccer.
