Love the look of metal jewelry? Enter: chainmaille! Chainmaille jewelry techniques are versatile, challenging, and fun to practice. Learn the classic Byzantine weave in this introductory workshop, then make additional bracelets at home using just two pairs of jewelry pliers.
Please note: All tools and a clasp for one complete bracelet are provided. No prior experience is required.

:This class will take place indoors at Studio 34 Creative Arts Learning Center, located at 34 Elton St, Rochester, NY 14607. The studio is located on the second floor of the largest of the three brick buildings on Elton St. Please use the entrance on the right side of the building. Additional parking is located at the corner of Atlantic and Elton.

:Maddy Schoenfeld is a jeweler and metalsmth living and working in Rochester. Maddy specializes in sterling silver jewelry and colorful, hand dyed, 3D printed jewelry. She strives to stretch the limits of 3D printing applications by using them in a totally unique way, utilizing both color and form to build geometric shapes into organic compositions. Maddy is also a metalsmith and incorporates many traditional techniques into her designs. Using these techniques, Maddy is able to create unique sculptural forms and wearable pieces of jewelry. Her collections consist of everything from lightweight earrings to rings that make a bold statement. Maddy is a fine art graduate of RIT and currently an MBA candidate. Her studio is located at 34 Elton Street, in the Neighborhood of the Arts.
