Vegetables can be an amazing vibrant centerpiece to your plate. However, overcooked or underdone vegetables can turn any delicious dish into something you can’t enjoy. In this class, you will learn how to blanch, boil, roast and sauté vegetables to bring out their best qualities and help bring any dish together. After learning how to cook beautiful vegetables and create two lovely sauces we will sample them all together. This class is aimed at the beginner cook as we will be exploring basic cooking techniques. 

Please note:This class will be utilizing soy ingredients. This class has allergen friendly options, please email info@rochesterbrainery.com prior to 48 hours before class. Students will be standing for most of the class.

Age:
The recommended age for this class is 16+. Anyone under the age of 18 will need an adult present. 

Location:
This class will take place at Eat Me Ice Cream located inside The Hungerford Building at 1115 East Main St. Suite 148. Please enter through Door 1.

About the teacher:
Ali Lawrence is the founder and owner of Spirit and Abundance, a company that seeks to help people connect and cultivate joy, mindfulness, and gratitude in a plant-based kitchen. She is a graduate from The Culinary Institute of America with a degree in Baking and Pastry, and The School of Hotel Administration from Cornell University. During her time at Cornell, she studied Zen Buddhism and that sparked her interest and passion in veganism, mindfulness, and meditation.
