Want to learn to crochet but find most tutorials or patterns to be gibberish? In this introductory crash course, students will learn basic crochet skills, as well as the ability to decode crochet patterns and decipher common acronyms. This workshop will primarily focus on chaining, tying a slipknot, and slip stitching. We will also practice the single and double crochet stitch. In addition to mechanics and technique, students will discuss the most sustainable and ethically produced types of yarn and brands. Please note: all materials will be provided.
Please note: A Happy Half Hour will be offered before class from 5:30pm-6:00pm, and the class will begin at 6:00pm. Students will be welcome to a complimentary happy hour or non-alcoholic drink of choice. Food will be available for purchase before and during class. Check out the menu here!Age:

About the teacher:
Strawberry Payne is a life-long fiber artist and DIY crafter. Putting an emphasis on the reuse and up-cycling of materials, they love to make practical items with an artistic and environmentally friendly twist. Since moving to Rochester a few years ago, they have made it a mission to share their expertise in sustainable crochet and other fiber arts with their new community.
