Monday, February 10th | 6:00pm-8:00pm | Introduction to Fusing and Slumping

Join us as we learn the popular art of glass fusing! In this class you'll get to create two projects: a flat decorative piece or square bowl, and a pendant necklace. At the start of class you'll get to choose from a huge assortment of colors and textures, then design your very own piece. Throughout the design process you'll learn how to safely and easily cut glass to fit your pattern. At the end, your project will be placed in the kiln to be fused (melted flat). A second kiln firing, called slumping, will produce a shaped piece, such as a bowl.

Please note:
All tools will be provided and no prior experience is required. Please bring safety glasses with you or be prepared to purchase a pair from the studio ($5). Please wear closed-toed shoes.

This class is appropriate for ages 14+.

This class will take place at Studio 34 Creative Arts Learning Center, located at 34 Elton St, Rochester, NY 14607.
