Love the way transparent glass draws in light and makes it dance? Design and create two projects to hang in your window or outdoors. This technique uses scissors, a scoring tool, and a kiln to create "carved" symbols and images. It's a suitable for  beginners and is a fun new technique for those with fusing experience. Students will make 2 hanging panels sized 3 inches by 7 inches. 

Please note: All tools and materials are provided and no experience required. Please bring safety glasses with you or purchase from the studio ($5). Please wear closed toe shoes. 

This class is appropriate for ages 14+.

This class will take place indoors at Studio 34 Creative Arts Learning Center, located at 34 Elton St, Rochester, NY 14607. The studio is located on the second floor of the largest of the three brick buildings on Elton St. Please use the entrance on the right side of the building. Additional parking is located at the corner of Atlantic and Elton.

About the teacher:
Marilynne Lipshutz is the executive director of Studio 34 Creative Arts Center, located in Rochester's Neighborhood of the Arts for more than 20 years. Marilynne retired as a psychotherapist and took up glass blowing, glass fusing, and casting as a hobby which grew into a successful teaching studio, now home to 28 local faculty and visiting artists from around the globe.
