Washi is the Japanese word for the traditional papers made from the long inner fibers of three plants, wa meaning Japanese and shi meaning paper. In class you’ll learn how to decorate eggs using these beautiful handmade papers. These eggs make beautiful gifts and can also be hung as ornaments.

This class will take place at Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester NY 14607.

About the teacher:
Linda Bowers has been addicted to decorating eggs for over 25 years. Her passion has blossomed into her hand-crafted business Just Eggsquisite. Linda’s canvas has ranged in size from the tiny parakeet to the grand ostrich egg. Decorating techniques have included wax resist (pysanky), scratch, carving, acid etching, and jewel box creations. Linda enjoys sharing her love for egg decorating and experience with others.
