Explore the heart of the warrior while learning the fundamentals of foil and saber fencing. Fencing helps young people develop focus, coordination, balance, and endurance and also emphasizes the Olympic values of friendship, respect, and excellence. Attendees will have fun learning the history of the sport, the various weapon styles, and of course...fence with swords!! Students will also participate in fencing-themed crafts and games. Parents can witness the fun firsthand when campers showcase their skills on the last day!
Please note: Suitable for both beginners and those with previous instruction. Students will be grouped by age and level of experience. Multiple instructors allow for individualized attention. Participants must wear athletic clothing and be ready to sweat in the gear. Please wear shorts or pants that go past the knee and bring a clean pair of sneakers and a water bottle. All fencing equipment will be provided for you during this class. Masks are required at all times.

The Rochester Fencing Club has a record of competitive achievement producing National, Collegiate, World, and Olympic Champions. More specifically, the RFC has qualified five members to the 1996 Olympics, four to the 2000 Olympics, one to the 2008 Olympics, has produced two World Champions, and placed many fencers on World Championship teams.
