Dahlias are the queen of the garden come late summer and there is no doubt why – they are truly marvelous! In this class, students will learn everything they need to know about adding dahlias to a garden. Students will be taken step by step through the process, talking about unique heirloom varieties, tuber sourcing, soil, fertilization, planting, support, cutting, winter care, and splitting. As one of the more finicky plants in the garden, students will end class knowing all the dahlia-growing secrets they need for success! This is a class for all gardeners and flower-lovers alike. Invite your friends, bring your questions, and prepare to learn a lot! Please note: This class is lecture-style and will leave half an hour for students' questions. Students will receive two dahlia tubers of their own. Dahlias will be available for pick-up from Rochester Brainery on May 1st from 10am-5pm.Age
