Sunday, June 5th | 10:00am-11:00am | Living Succulent Wreath

$79.00

Succulents are one of the world's versatile plants, with striking colors and unique forms. The word succulent comes from the Latin word sucus, meaning “juice” or “sap," and they thrive in sunny, well-drained areas with very little maintenance. In this class, we'll make wreaths using succulents - great for decorating trellises, arbors, an outdoor table (a nice wide candle in the center would look great) and fences, or if you can even think outside the box and lay it on a stump or unused birdbath! We will use a heavy, duty wireframe coated in plastic (one that can be used over and over for years) lined with Oregon moss and planted with succulents. Oregon moss is thick, which makes it outstanding for cohesion, unlike other moss varieties - you'll even be able to bring this inside during the winter!

Please note: If you took this class in July '21 and still have the frame from that class, select the "no frame" option from the dropdown menu above and be sure to bring the frame with you to class! Although not required, consider bringing a pair of rubber gloves since students will be working with wet moss.

This class will take place indoors at Jamie's Greenhouse, located at 1965 Watson Hulburt Rd. Macedon, NY. The greenhouse is on the Macedon-Fairport border and may show up as Fairport on a GPS.

About the teacher:
Jamie Snyder grew up on a farm that raised livestock, fruit, vegetables, and grain.
