Macrame is back! Learn the basics of macrame with a modern twist while making a beautiful wall hanging on driftwood. This class will introduce students to common macrame knots and give them the foundation to start creating their own pieces. All supplies are included so participants can take their new creation home and hang it up right away! Class location: This class will take place at University Gallery at RIT located at 166 Lomb Memorial Dr, Rochester, NY 14623.
Parking Info: After 5pm, all general, reserved, and visitor parking spots are open to the public in Lot E and Lot F. Park and walk through the breezeway to the right of the large orange MAGIC building, taking the doors to the right into Booth Hall. University Gallery is at the end of the hallway.About the teacher:
Laura Seymour is a local fiber artist and owner of Hitch + Cord. She works out of her studio in Rochester, NY creating modern macrame home decor. When she's not busy making macrame, you can find Laura hunting for finds at antique stores or spending time with her husband and two dogs. Laura is excited to help macrame make a comeback in the Rochester area and looks forward to teaching others about this beautiful art form.
