This second fermentation class will be a hands-on experience where students will design their own flavored kombucha. Students will dose out and fill two 1 liter bottles with in season ingredients from Mendon Acres Farm and pre-made green and black tea kombucha from Katboocha!
Please note: that this class is only open to those who already know how to single ferment tea, or those who have taken the first kombucha class. Mendon Acres Farm is a U-Pick farm and students are encouraged to come early and/or stay late if they'd like to pick!
This class will take place at Mendon Acres Farm, located at 4287 Clover St, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472
About the teacher:
Kat Schwarz is the owner of Katboocha, Rochester's first all-kombucha brewery! Katboocha focuses on small batch kombucha to hone in on flavor and artistry through "huggable" fermenters. Each batch is brewed no more than 60 gallons at a time, and each flavor is uniquely paired with its tea. Kat is thrilled to be at the precipice of this explosive new culture in Rochester, and aims to help shape the way we think about beverages.
