About the teacher:
Mary Ethel Rockcastle is the one woman show behind Sablecraft, the tiny business making felt banners and pennants in Rochester. After graduating from Parsons the New School for Design in 2015 with a BFA in illustration and working in the world famous Purl Soho, Mary combined her love of design and sewing to make felt banners inspired by pop culture. She currently sells them around town at festivals in Rochester. She works out of a studio space at The Yards, a community of artists who work and collaborate above the public market. You can keep up with her on Instagram.
