Looking to dress your home or office space with a modern take on the holiday? Oodles of fresh pine, cedar, cones, and other goodies for you to design your very own brass hoop wreath on a 15-inch hoop base. This wreath design focuses more on the simplicity of the brass hoop while focusing on small, finite details. You'll learn all of the techniques and mechanics to create this modern take on a holiday wreath and you’ll take your very own creation home! It is promised to be a jolly good time!
Please note: In the class you'll be using fresh, local pine. With proper care, your wreath can last through March looking the same as when it was made in November. You'll receive care instructions at each class. Wreath-making can be a sticky and sometimes messy ordeal! We highly recommend bringing work gloves (found at Lowes, Home Depot, or Harbor Freight) for handling the pine. Additionally, we recommend bringing latex or poly gardening/ work gloves for designing your wreath (thinner gloves makes for easier hand-crafting!). Gloves will prevent the pine from scratching your skin and they will soak up the sap. We also recommend either bringing something to protect your clothing from the sap or a change of clothing if you are coming from work.
This class will take place at Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester NY 14607.
