Monday, April 13th | 6:00pm-8:30pm | OrigamiTherapy: Tulips

OrigamiTherapy is about helping care for mental and emotional health and wellbeing. In this class you'll learn about the innate therapeutic benefits of folding origami and how the art form can be used for mindfulness and self-care. You’ll be guided through how to fold Origami Tulips (with individualized help when needed) then learn how to make the stems and long, curing leaves. By the end of class you'll have completed a bouquet transitional object to display in your home to remind yourself of your mindfulness experience and new self-care talent.

This class will take place at Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester NY 14607.

About the teacher:
Caitlin Horrocks LCAT ATR-BC is an Artist & Art Therapist living & working in the Finger Lakes Region of Western New York. Her Grandmother, Reiko, taught her to fold origami as a small child, & after 30 years of folding for self-care & fun, she began integrating her passion for folding into her personal art making & practice as a Therapist, leading to the creation of OrigamiTherapy: a learning opportunity, a jewelry line, & a tool to heal the mind & build self-efficacy.
