Thursday, September 29th | 6:00pm-8:00pm | Ocean-Inspired Alcohol Ink with LaCott Fine Art

Explore alcohol ink and its application to create a one-of-a-kind, abstract background painting inspired by the ocean and its reefs. Focusing on the color blue, you will spread vivid ink on the paper's surface in a fluid painting style to create an ocean backdrop, experimenting with application, blending, and mixing with alcohol. Use the ocean background to influence the composition's illustrative details, highlighting the organic patterns through line drawing and mark making with posca pens, and leave the class with a basic understanding of pursuing the medium further.

Please note: Students will work on small practice exercises and then on a final finished piece.

The recommended age for this class is 14+.

This class will take place at Rochester Brainery, located at 176 Anderson Ave F109, Rochester, NY 14607.

Live subtitles will be available upon request during this class. If you would like to request a sign language interpreter or will be attending class with an aide, please fill out our contact form. Please also let us know if you have any preferences (seating, vision access, etc).
