Beginners and intermediate oil painters will find this class very helpful. We'll talk about how to draw and block in a painting as well as techniques for brushwork and use of color, shade, tint and hue. Students will be painting along with Steve to do an alla prima (in one sitting) painting. 

Please note: Please ensure your camera is on for class so the instructor can see your work and coach you. - Gamblin’s 1980 Introductory Kit
- 1 Quart Mona Lisa Odorless Thinner
- Six Stretched Canvas 11 x 14
- 10 x 12 Oval Shaped Wood Palette

This class is appropriate for ages 16+.

About the teacher:
Steve Duprey is an artist working in acrylics whose main focus is landscapes. He comes from a background of theatre and has been directing for 30 years or so. Most recently, Duprey directed Pittsford Musicals summer production of "A Chorus Line." He came to painting later in life and is very excited about sharing the things that he has learned.
