Monday, January 9th | 6:30pm-8:30pm | Painting Rain in Watercolor

Painting rainy skies and the surrounding scenery in watercolor can be a tricky process, but it is one that is chock full of great watercolor techniques! In this online class, you'll gain confidence in your watercolor practice and learn to create feeling and mood with your pieces.

Supplies Needed:
- pencils
- kneaded or plastic eraser
- paper towels (a few sheets is fine)
- 140lb watercolor paper (a recommended brand is Arches, however any brand will do)
- various watercolor brushes (suggested sizes:  round #5; flat, 1/2" minimum, and a liner brush; a set will do, as well)
- spray bottle with water in it
- water bucket
- watercolors (minimum colors recommended: cadmium red, cadmium yellow, sap green, cerulean blue, ultramarine blue, alizarin crimson, burnt sienna, and burnt umber)
- watercolor palette

Please note: Please put a bit of each watercolor paint in your palette prior to class to allow them to dry. It is recommended to slightly scrub the palette mixing area with a Magic Eraser in order to mar the surface, which will allow for better mixing. In order to follow along with the instructor, please ensure you have all supplies ready and accessible at class time.

This class is appropriate for ages 16+.
