Discover the art of flower pounding, creating natural pigments with native plants and flowers. Students will learn how to express natural dye compounds found in the petals and stems of flowering plants and vines, and imprint them onto pre-mordanted muslin using pressure. The result is an organically "dyed" tapestry piece that will stay vibrant long after the snow returns.Age:This class is appropriate for ages 16+.Location:This class will take place at Warner Castle, located at 5 Castle Park, Rochester, NY 14620.
