In October, we start feeling the cold overnights and more overcast skies. It begins to get darker earlier and the sun rises later. While we enjoy the reprieve from the heat, what happens to our indoor plants? How do we prep them for the long cold months that await them? In this class students will learn about prepping and winterizing indoor plants as well as discuss the do's and don'ts. There will also be an open forum for students to ask their plant care questions. Product recommendations will be made and basic winter care guide and plant will be given.

About the teacher
:Shelby Rae is a Rochestarian with a passion for plants. With the hundreds of thousands of plant species in the world, it's hard to be a true expert in Botany, but Shelby has been traveling the country meeting with growers, viewing plants in their natural habitats, seeking expert advice, and researching so you don't have to. This is an educational company geared to providing the urban community of Rochester (and surrounding areas) houseplant knowledge to those who wish to bring nature into their homes. You can keep up with her events and tips on Instagram @thebotanist_rochester.
